To maximize durability and longevity of your garment, clean your product as infrequently as possible and opt for professional dry cleaning services if possible. If the item allows washing, it is best to hand wash in cold water to avoid shrinkage. Always avoid tumble drying as heat can cause shrinkage and discoloration. To dry knitwear, avoid hanging the knit as the water weight will stretch the garment. Ideally, knits should be laid flat to dry.
Never iron velvet items as the heat will damage the velvet and leave scorch marks which cannot be reversed. Instead, use a steamer and gently remove the creases using the steam (do not directly have the steamer touch the velvet).
